A Man‘s Verse on His Old Wife

The crisscross of slender lines evokes
The image of silhouette of a slim leaf,
Etched with a peacock feather
On fine sand.

The red rouge collected suggests
Roseate streaks of the setting sun
Or the red dust floating on
A tapering stream.

The sagging skin is a curve of
A honeycomb hanging from a tree.

The moles serve as speed breakers:
No danger of hand‘s slipping
In caressing your cheeks!
